Badge Making workshop
A hands-on, all-ages workshop where the whole family can create their own take-home piece of wearable art. No artistic experience required — participants can either design their own badge from scratch or choose to colour in one of the pre-made designs created by Yarli Creative.

Guided Walk by Aunty Marilyne
Join Dja Dja Wurrung Elder Aunty Marilyne Nicholls for a guided walk through garingilang gatjin wii (Fire and Water Garden) beside the Central Goldfields Art Gallery on DJAARA Country.
You’ll hear cultural stories and learn about the local plants growing in the garden.

Possum Skin Culture with Aunty Sandra
Possum skins were and are sewn together to be used for cloaks/blankets, drums and skirts for ceremony. This tradition is a great way to understand Dja Dja Wurrung ways of being and doing. This workshop will draw you in and give you some insight into those old ways.

Storytelling & Art Making with Aunty Ros
Join Aunty Ros Dodson in Djaara storytelling and an opportunity to handle First Nation artefacts as discussions are held on these artefact traditional uses; Children will then be encouraged to share their own stories through art expression / painting activities.

Cassie Fisher-Patterson grows a lot of native foods on her property and has been using native bushtukka all her life. She makes her own range of bush spices and shows participants what they look like, how they can be used and how they tastes.
